Happy Mother’s Day

Posted by: | May 14, 2012 | 13 Comments |

On Sunday it was….

 Mother’s Day!

I got this idea off Mrs Morris and Miss Jordan. Here is the link to the post: Happy Mother’s Day

I was so excited on Sunday morning to give Mum the presents I got her. I jumped out of bed, got the presents and ran down to my mum and dad’s room. After Mum had looked at the presents I asked, “Did you like the presents?”

She replied, ”I love them!”

The things I got her were a vanilla car freshener, a shopping list that said ‘World’s Greatest Mum’, toffees (lollies) and a picture snow globe. But it wasn’t any ordinary snow globe, you could put a photo of your family in it. My brother also had gifts and my dad also bought some things. We had a Mother’s Day stall at our school so that’s where my brother and I got our gifts.

Here is a PhotoPeach:

My mum means the world to me. She is special in every way. I love her because she cooks and buys yummy food, she has a nice smile, she is very funny, she works to make money and she takes us to special places. She isn’t the only one that earns the money though, my dad does too. :)

 Hope you enjoyed that post!

My Holidays!

Posted by: | April 9, 2012 | 15 Comments |

Hello everyone! I am going to do a post about what I have done so far on the

click to generate your own textclick to generate your own textclick to generate your own textclick to generate your own textclick to generate your own textclick to generate your own textclick to generate your own textclick to generate your own text

I love the holidays but after a while I miss school. Holidays are a break from school. The school that I go to has two weeks off. So far on the hoildays I have done a lot. I know the holidays are going to fly past and I will be back at school in no time.

Here are some things that I have done:

Having a sleepover with my good friend Rhiannon!

On Saturday night (the first Saturday night of the holidays) my good friend Rhiannon came over with her family for tea. We went over to the playground (with her older brother and my younger brother) and had a blast. We played chasey, hide and seek and played on the play equipment. For tea we had chicken schnitzel and it was delicious. When it was time for Rhiannon’s family to leave Rhiannon didn’t have to leave because she was having a sleepover. Some other things we did were having a disco, doing pretend news reports and going on our hammock. If you are wondering, a hammock is a thing you can sit on and relax.

Easter egg hunt!

On Friday I went to an Easter egg hunt with my family. When we arrived there were stalls set up for face painting and getting things like balloons. When you got there you had to  make a gold coin donation and then get a wrist band for your age group and put it on your wrist. My age group was 8-10. The age group was for which Easter Egg Hunt you were in. The eggs were hidden in hay. I got a few but my mum gave me a few more. At the end they ended up raising $2,322 for the Royal Childrens Hospital.

Going to the Clarendon!

On Saturday night we went to a restaurant called the Clarendon. My best friend Millie was coming with her family for tea. When we walked into the restaurant I thought it was fantastic. The playground was wonderful. The slides were cool. There was a swirly one and a steep one. Anyway, I played chasey with Millie, my brother and her brother. There were a lot of places to run to. For tea I had chicken strips. Later on we had dessert. The dessert was delicious. It was soft serve ice-cream and lollies of your choice. I recommend it for you.

I hope you had a great Easter. I know I did.

My Goals for this Year

Posted by: | March 24, 2012 | 8 Comments |

I am setting two goals for this year but it will probably be happening quicker. I like setting……

My first goal will be to get 1,000, 2,000 or 3,000 visitors on my clustr map. I like getting visitors from all around the world. If you look on my clustr map you will see I have had 852 visitors. Most of my visitors are from Australia because I live in  Australia. I will be doing a post when I get up to 1,000 visitors and I also will if I get up to 2,000 or 3,000.

My second goal will be to learn how to type properly and fast. I used to type really slow with one finger typing the letters and the other one pressing shift if I needed to. I am starting to type properly but I am working on doing it faster. My teacher Miss Jordan is very fast at typing. She has been blogging for many years and is super fast at it.

I hope I can be a fast typer like Miss Jordan one day. Also, Mrs Morris (a teacher who teaches with Miss Jordan) is very fast at typing aswell.

My Friends!!!

Posted by: | March 18, 2012 | 9 Comments |

I love Friends! It’s good to have them.

Here are two reasons why it’s good to have friends:

Friends are good to have because you would be lonely without them. You would have nothing to talk about and nothing to do.

Friends are good to have because they can give you advice and tips. For example: If you are at school and you don’t know how to figure a sum out, they can tell you how to work it out.

I will name my friends at school: Millie, Rhiannon, Sophie, Zoe, Liv S, Liv Y, Charlotte, Jess, Brooke, Paige, Faye and I have got heaps more friends outside of school.

I have known my best friend Millie for 9 years. I am 9 now so I have known her since I was a baby! Here is a bit about her:

Millie is a funny girl who loves playing around and laughing. Millie and I have a laughing period probably each day if we see each other! She is good at writing, drawing, running and maths! She is a great best friend.

Here is a photopeach, there are photos that have been taken when I was younger aswell:

I hope you enjoyed that photopeach!

Millie’s Sleepover Party!

Posted by: | March 7, 2012 | 18 Comments |

I was invited to my best friend Millie’s sleepover party.  My mum dropped me off at Millie’s house. Surprisingly, I was the first one there. The people who were invited were Sophie, Zoe and I.

When I walked into Millie’s room the first things I spotted was a makeup kit, nail polish and  jewellery. Millie said that we were going to do it the day after. When the other girls arrived we got things started.

I can’t remember the order of the things we did so I will just tell you.

The Chocolate Game

We played a game called the Chocolate game. You get a block of cadbury chocolate, a knife and fork, a dice and a chopping board. When the first person gets a six they cut a piece of chocolate and if someone else has not got a six yet they cut another. But when another person gets a six they get the knife and fork off the player that has it and starts chopping. The game continues until there is no chocolate left.

The present Sophie got Millie

We played with a present Sophie got for Millie. You put it on your ankle and start spinning it around. Sophie also got me one for my birthday.

The make up, nail polish and jewellery

We painted our nails. I painted mine orange and hot pink. Next was make up but we didn’t like the make up so we ended up taking it off but we left lip gloss on. Lucky last it was jewellery.

The Movie

We watched a movie called Cheaper by the Dozen. It was about a mum and dad with 12 kids and there’s another family living close to them.  The dads in each family are fighting and training their kids to see which family is better.

We went on a long walk

Millie lives on a big golfcourse so she can go for long walks. We all went for a walk and had loads of fun playing and talking.

Well, do you think that would’ve been a great sleepover if you went? I think it was a fabulous sleepover. I rate it 5/5.

The Ocean Grove Beach

I am going to talk about my fabulous day at the Ocean Grove

click to generate your own textclick to generate your own textclick to generate your own textclick to generate your own textclick to generate your own text

On my weekend I went to the Ocean Grove beach! It was a steamy day so the beach was very busy. While I was walking on the sand I didn’t realise how hot it was because I was staring at the big waves. But I didn’t care because I would be riding those waves with my boogie board in a second.

I hopped on my boogie board and I saw an enormous wave. I knew I had to catch that wave and guess what, I did. I was at the top of the wave and then went bumping all the way to shore.  I caught heaps more big waves.

I went to have a rest and then I saw Mrs de Vries (my grade 3 teacher). I said hi to her and she said hi to me. I was trying to spot her all day but I couldn’t.

Later on I decided to play in the sand. I made round balls and they were very heavy. I gave one to my 5 year old brother but he just broke it straight away.

I went out deep with my dad. It got too deep and I couldn’t catch up to my dad so I just went and caught a few waves. Before I knew it I was leaving. What a fabulous day.

I hope you enjoyed that!

Skyping with Mrs Yollis and her class

Posted by: | February 24, 2012 | 13 Comments |

Hello! On Wednesday the 22nd of Febuary 4KM and 4KJ (my class) skyped with Mrs Yollis and her class.  I missed the first couple of minutes of the skype but I managed to get there in time.

When the skype started in Leopold it was 8:55am Wednesday and in Los Angeles (where Mrs Yollis lives) it was 1:55pm Tuesday so that means there is 19 hours difference.

I enjoyed

I will tell you a few things that Mrs Yollis and her class told us:

They told us their population and we compared ours with theirs. The population of America is 312,000,000 and our population is  21,885,016.

On their flag they have 50 stars and 15 stripes.

America became a country in July 4th 1776.

I hope you enjoyed those facts.

I was chosen to research the population of Australia and then tell Mrs Yollis and her class on skype. I really enjoyed doing that.

I hope we skype more so I can write posts about it!

 Have you ever skyped?

If not, who would you like to skype with?

It’s Nearly Christmas!

Posted by: | December 23, 2011 | 15 Comments |

Hey, Guess What! It’s nearly Christmas and there is 1 day till that happens.

Leopold Primary school ( The school that I go to ) has had their Christmas carols.  My 5 year old brother sang ‘Santa’s Christmas workshop’ and I went after him and sang ‘Deck the Sheds’ with the other grade 3′s, 4′s, 5′s and 6′s. Not a lot of people showed up. My mum thought there was close to 100 kids there and we have got about 700 kids in our school altogether. After I sang I left with my brother and parents.

Here is my Christmas list:

Ghanda bag, Katy Perry CD, Trash Packs, Guess Who?, Twister, Leap Frog learning globe, diary, magic fabric fashion and heaps more.

Here is a photo peach of Christmas things:

Merry Christmas and best wishes for the new year!
